Dr. Shevock is the proud new owner of Companion Animal Hospital. While growing up in Northern Virginia in a small town surrounded by horse farms, she always wished at a young age to be a Veterinarian. She worked in a small animal practice throughout high school and undergraduate to gain experience. She started as a kennel assistant, moving to receptionist and assistant and then to surgical assistant. She attended Virginia Tech for a Bachelor in Agriculture and Applied Economics and Minor in Animal Sciences. She then graduated from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Shevock completed a one year rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey following veterinary school (emergency, surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, neurology and oncology). Dr. Shevock has special interests in emergency and critical medicine, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. She practiced emergency medicine for many years throughout southeast Michigan but decided to move to day practice to start building long, lasting relationships with her patients and their pet parents. Dr. Shevock lives in Fenton with her husband Bryan and two dogs, Abby and Toby. She loves horses and has been horseback riding since childhood. In her spare time she trains a young Oldenburg horse to compete over fences.
