Dr. Smith graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences prior to graduating from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine. She comes to Companion Animal Hospital with an emergency background, and is excited to assist in the newly offered urgent care hours! Dr. Smith loves the “controlled chaos” and lack of predictability seen with urgent care appointments, and looks forward to providing quality care and educating clients in times of stress.
Dr. Smith was raised in the Fenton area and grew up enjoying the local lakes and water sports. She now resides in Brighton where she lives with her husband and her feline fur baby, Picasso. In her free time, she enjoys lake activities, arts and crafts, trying new fitness classes, and is active at her church.
